Your tax return is the form you send to the government that shows your income and calculates your tax. The money the government sends back to you is your refund. You didn't receive your federal return. You sent your federal return and the IRS received it. You received your federal refund.
What is "it" that says you should get your state refund by 3/24/25? The federal and state tax returns are processed by completely separate government agencies. There is no connection between them. Each one works on its own schedule.
