Received several 3299's in April, and I filed my 2020 return in March. Do I need to perform an amendment?

Greetings--

I revived several forms late from my employer--three (3) 3922 forms and one (1) 1095-C in April.  I filed my 2020 return in March.  The 1095-C is for record purposes only.  My questions is: since I revived the 3922's weeks after filing my 2020 return, do I need to complete an amendment?

It depends why the Forms 3922 were issued.

  • Do not file an amended return for Forms 3922 only for purchasing Employee Stock Purchase Plan stock during the tax year. Keep these in your records and refer to them when you do sell stock.
  • Do file an amended return for Forms 3922 received for selling any ESPP stock.
