I swore when turbo tax did my fileing they asked me if I wanted to receive my state refund together with my federal so I paid a fee for this but m y federal check came alone

The state and federal refunds cannot come as one deposit, because they are handle by two different agencies.

You will receive the federal refund from the IRS and your state will come from your state tax agency.

There is no fee to receive the refunds via direct deposit. You could have paid a fee for your software, and if you elected to have the fees deducted from your refund this would have charged a fee as well.

You must have misunderstood what it said. It’s not to receive your refunds together. It was to have the Fees for both taken out of your Federal Refund.
