Wondering why on my taxes home page shows one amount but the drop down menu shows a federal refund of $0?

Does one amount say federal refund and the other say federal tax, or do both say refund amount? If you're able to, please attach a screenshot.

I cannot say for certain why this is happening if both state "refund". I would suggest inputting the figure on the IRS Where's My Refund site once "Accepted".  If the system allows you to check your refund status, then that is the correct amount of your refund.

Note:You will need your social security number, filing status, and refund amount in order to track your refund. Be sure to enter only the Federal Refund amount and not the total amount that includes the State refund. The amount to enter is on your Federal form 1040, line 21a.

If you paid any fees out of your Federal refund, use the refund figure prior to the deduction of the fees.
