I would like to know where my return is. Or notified if there was offsets or if something was wrong because I've never done this before.

Did you e-file it?  When?  Or did you mail it?  How long ago?

If you e-filed, do you know if it was accepted?

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

    https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?

https://www.irs.gov/refunds           Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?”

Note: If it says “Ready to Mail” or “Printed” that means YOU have to mail it yourself.  TurboTax does not mail your tax return for you.

If it was accepted, then TurboTax is done.  TurboTax does not get any information about offsets to your refund for back taxes owed, or delinquent child support or student loans owed that could cause the IRS to seize your refund--but the IRS sends you a letter about that.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20a of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

    To track your state refund:
