If you selected file by mail but haven't mailed it then please follow these steps to open your return to make changes: In TurboTax Online, sign into your account. Select Tax Home in the left menu. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents. Select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this opens the return back up) If you have already e-filed, then you have to file an amended return (1040X) to make changes. But you might want to wait until your refund or payment is processed. Please be aware that you can e-file your 2020 amended federal tax return, but most states require amendments to be printed and filed by mail. Please see How to amend a tax return for instructions.
