Should I amend a return I recently filed if I answered the "did you receive a stimulus in 2021" question incorrectly? I answered no, but apparently I got it.
When I answered no, it looks like I became eligible for a recovery credit?
The IRS knows that you were sent the 3rd stimulus payment so they will adjust your tax return accordingly. This will delay any federal tax refund you are owed by several weeks or longer.
It is not necessary to amend your tax return.
