Question

So I electronically filed my taxes the middle of April. My federal and state refund was accepted on the 18 of April. I got my state refund on the 19 of May

I haven't received my federal refund yet

The IRS is operating with limited staff as many of its centers are still closed.  Returns are still show in the status processing because there is limited to no (in some departments or centers) staff to process them. 

 

It is not yet known when normal operations will resume but once they do continued delays are expected due to extensive backlogs of processing.
