So i was able to amend return on turbo tax the federal was previousaccepted and i added my 1099 so my refund increased from what it was before. Does that mean i will owe

The refund is now more the federal was already accepted and the state was still pending.

The amend return area in TurboTax isn't ready yet and won't be fully available until sometime in February. You should have seen the attached screenshot.

Although it will take more effort, I recommend deleting the changes you made when you thought you were amending (adding 1099-K and expenses) and get the tax returns back to their original status showing the refunds you originally filed for. Then, wait to receive the refunds you originally filed for and/or instructions from the IRS and/or state department(s) of revenue on how to proceed because they may also determine you did not report the 1099-K you received yet.

The reason I recommend this approach is primarily because TurboTax calculates your amended tax refunds or taxes owed based on the assumption you already received the refunds you originally filed for (which you haven't received yet). Please review the following TurboTax FAQs for more information:

Did you amend 2016? 2017 amend area isn't ready yet. Also, are you saying you added income and your refund increased? If so, did you also add taxes withheld along with the income?

I didnt have to amend 2016 i didnt have a 1099 that year i just started that job in 2016 i was a contractor for a company that didnt have taxes withheld in 2017 I forgot it the first time when i filed on the 19th with just my w-2 but i did the amend form yesterday with the 1099k with my expenses and it increased my refund and said in progress. I also had child tax credit.

I did that so how do i delete the info. I guess i have to send it in via mail right later.
