Question

Started an e-file including bank transfer of payments. Then e-file was rejected. But what about bank transfer?

The transfer is still scheduled, but not completed. Do I paper file without payment, what happens to scheduled payment?

The payment is not scheduled unless the return gets accepted.    Why was the return rejected?   If you can fix and e-file, the payment will be scheduled.   If you have to end up mailing your return, you will need to mail a check or pay through the IRS payments site.

It was rejected due to an alleged mismatch in last year's AIG. The transfer had been scheduled for the 15th (tomorrow). I just spoke with a turbotax support guy who said that the payment will continue to go through and will be synced to the paper return when that is received. Are you suggesting that this is not the case?

That is correct, if the return was not accepted, the IRS payment will not go through. To fix your rejected return due to the AGI, please see the TurboTax FAQ below for instructions:

    How do I fix e-file reject IND-031-04 or IND-032-04?
