State tax refund used as a credit toward 2023 estimated taxes

I know I am supposed to put the refund as a credit since I opted to do so for my 2023 state estimated taxes. However, Turbo Tax is automatically putting it in as a refund. Is that correct? If not, how do I fix it?

    If you opted to apply your 2022 State Refund to your 2023 Estimated State Taxes, go to DEDUCTIONS & CREDITS > ESTIMATES AND OTHER TAXES PAID.

     

    Then at 'State Estimated Taxes for 2023', you can enter the Amount and Date of your Estimated State Tax Payment.

    TurboTax does correctly show it as a Refund; however, if you elected to  Apply your Refund to Estimated Tax Payments, enter it as above.
