We usually are approved for the tax advance only this year we weren’t and no explanation was given. Only difference is the energy tax credit this year. Did anyone claim the energy tax credit and get an advance?

Unfortunately, if you were not approved, you did not meet the qualification criteria for the Refund Advance. First Century Bank will send you an email explaining why you weren’t eligible for the Refund Advance. If you didn't pre-qualify for Refund Advance, it may be because you owed money to your state, your refund was not $500 or more, or you have outstanding student loans or current tax liens.

@KatrinaLO   We were pre-qualified and it stated we would get the amount within an hour of the IRS accepting out return. 20 hours AFTER the IRS accepted our return I get an general email with NO specific answers as to why all of a sudden we didn’t qualify. I’ve called green dot and they are no help. Who do I teach out to? We pay a significant amount to file and have support and we are receiving very little.

We would be happy to assist. However, since the Refund Advance is provided by First Century Bank, you would need to follow the instruction provided in the link previously provided.
