Hello,

I'm about to mail my 2019 tax return.

I've almost done for my tax filing but I found something wrong on my file.

On the first page of my tax file, I found that the mailing deadline was last year like below.

The mail deadline has passed, is it okay to send a mail? or what should I do if there is a problem?

What You Need to Mail:

Mail your return and attachments to:

Department of the Treasury ...

Deadline: Postmarked by Wednesday, July 15, 2020

Note: Your state return may be due on a different date.

Thank you,

Yes you can still mail it.  You have 3 years to file for a refund.  The deadline is mainly to pay a tax due.  A tax due payment is due by the deadline but you can file the return later.  If you pay a tax due after the due date they may send you a bill for interest and penalties.
