Why is my tax return still pending status. Also why has the tax due has not been deducted yet? It's been more than 48 hours since I e-filed.

sorry, but it's been more than 48 hours I have filed. Also I did not get any mail from turbotax for any additional info.

So turbotax had a glitch or something cause I filed my BF taxes on February 2 and it's been pending since last night I did my nephew's taxes and in 1 hour they were accepted. So I decided to do my BF taxes on a different site to see if they would be accepted and in less than 1 hour they were accepted. TURBOTAX YOU NEED TO CHECK FEBRUARY 2 2023 IF THE SYSTEM GLITCHED...

Please know that is the IRS that must approve your return, not TurboTax. It varies, but normally it takes 24-48 hours. Also, the identity-protection safeguards implemented by the IRS in recent years may account for longer wait times. Eventually, you will receive an email letting you know whether your return has been accepted or rejected.

Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn’t accepted or rejected it yet.

If you contact the government or try to look up your refund status while your return is still pending, don’t be surprised if they tell you “No record found.” This is normal; until the government starts reviewing and processing your return, they won’t have any record of it.

What does "Pending" mean?
