IRS has amended the tax return completed on Turbo Tax and sent by Turbo Tax.  You changed the total Social Security wages from $32,713 to $11,828.  You subtracted taxable interest from the gross wages making the taxable amount $14,410 instead of $20,089.25.

I have put my faith in Turbo Tax for more than 10 years and this is the first time you have made a mistake and it is a HUGE mistake.  When you try to deduct $84.10 from my account.  I will let my bank know to reject it.

Our refund went from $4,536.00 to $937.  This is unacceptable and apparently I can do the taxes better than Turbo Tax.  What is your problem?

What type of taxable income do you claim that TT deducted from your gross income?  TT goes by your data entry, and answer to your questions.  Could you have made a mistake in doing so?  And the taxable portion of your Social Security is based upon your other income.
