Tax year 2020, dependant not claimed on Feb but claimed on state return
I used Turbotax to do my fed and state (CA) taxes. I have a daughter but claim her as a dependant in odd year per agreement with her father. I e-filed using turbotax. I failed to notice it but I did not claim my daughter on my fed return but I did on my State return. This has caused a big problem as my daughter's father claimed her also, as he should have. How is this possible? I thought Turbotax used the same information for both the federal and state returns.
