Taxes not showing up on where’s my tax return or on TurboTax hotline

If you did not follow all 3 steps in the filing process after choosing efile to the point where you clicked on the orange "Transmit Returns Now" button and had it accepted, you have not efiled your return. If you did not efile it, you must print and mail your return yourself to the IRS. TurboTax does not print and mail it for you. When it says Ready to Mail it usually means you chose to mail your return instead of efiling it. It will continue to say Ready to Mail even if you did print and mail your return because TurboTax doesn't know whether you mailed it or not.
