Taxes were done February 11th but have not yet been filed. Why???

I filed the 10th & according to the IRS they haven’t received mine either. It says to check back 24 hours after you’ve electronically filed to check on an update through the Where’s My Refund site yet it’s been more than 24 hours. I could be wrong, but I’m wondering if it could be due to so many people filing early due to the pandemic.

The IRS began processing and accepting tax returns today, February 12, 2021. The normal turnaround time for the IRS to accept your return is 24-48 hours. However, it may take a little bit longer as they work through the stockpiled returns.

MY 2020 IRS TAXES WERE FILED YESTERDAY USING TURBOTAX INTUIT. HOW CAN I TELL IF THE IRS RECEIVED IT ELECTRONICALLY????

As stated by MichelleLO above, the IRS began processing and accepting tax returns today, February 12, 2021. The normal turnaround time for the IRS to accept your return is 24-48 hours. However, it may take a little bit longer as they work through the stockpiled returns. You will receive an email informing you that your return has been accepted or rejected by the IRS.
