The IRS refused my Turbo Tax e-file last spring, so I sent it in by surface mail with tracking (it WAS received). Now, the IRS has no record of it

I've tried their web and phone inquiry system many times now...no record of the return despite tracking number proof of receipt.

Nothing you can do but wait ... the IRS is WAY behind in processing returns especially mailed in ones. Expect it to take 6 months or more and it will not show up on the WMR? tool until it is entered into the system so check it once a week until you see progress. https://www.irs.gov/refunds
