Question

The REFUND number is wrong when filing an amended tax return for NY. The total refund number shows instead of a refund for amended tax return. I think it may be a bug.

That is the screen capture after everything is checked.

On amendments, the refund/owed amount resets to $0 and the new amount reflects the additional refund or tax owed amount from the amendment.

Please see the TurboTax FAQ's below for information on calculations for Amendments:

How does the refund math work on amendments?

Thanks for the answer. @CassLO  But in my situation, the top number of $18 is right. The bottom number is the previous refund ($261) + $18, which is not right because I already got the previous refund.

Now the bottom number $279 is a summary of my NY amended tax return, which seems a bug.

I also have other amended tax returns for Federal and other states, they all show the right numbers.
