Question

The state of Arkansas sent me a letter requesting an explanation of items claimed on my federal form C. What do I need to send them?

The letter should describe what they need with respect to your Federal Schedule C. It sounds like they want more detail or supporting documents. What exactly does the letter ask you to submit? Let us know and we would be happy to help.

Thanks for getting back with me.

 

  It specifically requests, "Provide supporting documents and proof of claim for Federal form Schedule C.  This should include a statement on the business as well as documents supporting income."  

 

If anyone with knowledge on the subject could get back with me soon I would greatly appreciate it.

Sounds like they are wanting a profit and loss statement along with documents proving your income.  Like bank statements showing the deposits, etc.
