Question

This damn program won't let me file my state return. I already filed my Fed return and got my refund but TurboTax traps me in a loop when I try to file my NC return

I have to click through like half a dozen screens and then it just loops and I can't ever get out of it to file. And when I click to file by mail instead, it says I can't because I elected somewhere else to have my refund auto-deposited, but I can't figure out where to change that either. SO I'm just stuck and can't file at all.

The NC DOR won't take in any E-filed tas returns until 24 Feb.

AS such, TTX is not allowing anyone to E-file until 24 Feb.

AND, if you are Itemizing deductions on the NC tax return, you should not E-file until after 25 Feb (apparently) because of a significant bug in the NC software that improperly uses last year's Charity deductions, and adds them to this year's deductions . (I don't know nor trust taht it will be fixed by the 25th so I'm waiting at least another week beyond that)
