Total Gross income

Why is my pension not included in my total gross income? When I filed last time from other people I have my pension and social security combined as my gross income on line 7. What’s wrong with it?

Look at your Form 1040.  The lines changed somewhat from previous tax years.

Pensions are on 4c

Your Social Security is on line 5a 

Total income is on 7b

Adjusted Gross Income is on 8b

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
