My Federal Refund was $3214.14 less then what it was supposed to be, what is going on and why did I not get my full refund?

You will get a letter in the mail from the IRS explaining why the refund is different than you expected. Neither TT nor TPG is told why, but it may be due to stimulus payments or the Child Tax Credits.

No all of that was accounted for when I went through filing I didn't get $3200 in payments last year from stimulus or anything like that, if anything the IRS owes me more money. Where is the rest of my money?

Something is wrong.

I received the same type of letter from the State of California after my Federal return was promptly deposited.

Two weeks later my wife got concerned because our State refund was not deposited. Before I contacted the State I received a letter telling me they needed information to verify authenticity to prevent identity theft.

Something didn't feel right about receiving this letter so after verifying the web address was legit I called and faxed the information to the agent who spoke with a heavy accent.

My state refund was processed immediately but five days later I received notification of the deposit approximately $1600 less than what TT indicated I should receive.

According to the State site, I should have received a letter letting me know if and why my State return was modified. I have not received any such letter.

Now I am seeing similar incidents with Federal returns.

Which servers have been attacked if this is an attack? TT or State and Federal or all three?

This is just too irregular to be excused as a program glitch. Why some States and some Federal returns are being affected?

my bank and mail address were wrong at my tax return. but i need my refund mail to me from tpg - contacted tpg to avail- no way to talk to a live person

it has since february 2022-tpg website it shows the money but it does show any status.
