Tracking says my refund has been delayed should I be concerned?

Only the IRS knows what all they are doing with your return. While most returns getting refunds and direct deposit will get a Federal refund within 21 days, some returns require extra processing.  Sometimes they need more info.  Some filers ultimately might have to verify identity.  Some returns are pulled at random for review.  Sometimes the IRS is just slow for no obvious reason or for backlogs.
