Ok, I filled on 02/03/2022. It got accepted and everything. I've gotten my state taxes back. My transcripts have a TC 570 & TC 971 code with both coded having a $0.00 out beside them... what do i need to do. I need help.. how do I get someone on the phone at the IRS.  I called the [phone number removed] but when it went to be transferred it said " due to extremely high call volume we are unable to handle your call at this time" and hangs up... WHAT DO I DO.

TurboTax cannot advise on codes provided by the IRS transcripts.  To reach out to them directly, you might try these instructions:

 

IRS: 800-829-1040  

Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, local time

Monday-Friday

  • Listen to each menu before making the selection.
  • First choose your language. Press 1 for English.
  • Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
  • Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
  • Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
  • Then press 3 "for all other questions."
  • Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.

I did that it transferred me to another automated line where it asked for my social.. I didn't enter it and then it asked again and then it sent me to what was suppose to be an agent then it said " we're sorry due to extremely high call volume were unable to assist you in the topic you've chosen and hung up...

You might want to try first thing in the mornings when they open.  It has been reported people are able to get through easier then.
