Trying to Amend 2017 return due to new tax law allowing PMI insurance to be deducted. When I amend it does not change my return. Is the software not updated yet?

Turbotax was updated to allow the deduction for mortgage insurance premiums as of February 22, 2018. Check your 1040 to see if your Line 40 itemized deductions amount and your taxable income on Line 43 changed. Line 40 should increase by the amount of the PMI.
