Trying to print a revised 2014 return in TurboTax desktop for Mac. Printer works but print or save as PDF gets "problem communicating with the printing server."

2013 prints fine. Didn't file in 2014, so no online version available. How do I get a printable file?

Or try to find a Windows computer. The .tax files can be opened by both the Windows and Mac programs. But you would have to install the 2014 program which might be impossible. Even if you have the CD you wouldn't be able to update the program or download any states you need. Unless you know someone with 2014 still installed on Windows.

Or try www.taxprinter.com . They say they can convert 2014 to pdf. They are not related to Turbo Tax and it does cost. You send them the .tax2014 file.

Thanks, VolvoGirl. It looks like only taxprinter.com would work for me now. I'm not trying to print for submitting, just for records to give a tax preparer. I can transfer the info I need another way, so I'll save my $80. But I appreciate your help finding out why it doesn't work. I also agree with some replies to your 2019 posts saying TurboTax should continue supporting prior years, but that's a forlorn hope I'm afraid.
