TT only allowing e-filing of Amended California Tax Return, but I need to mail it in as I am at my limit for e-filing.

This is very frustrating. California Amended returns can be e-filed, but Turbo Tax is not giving an option to mail the Amended return in. I have used all my allowed e-files for family, and I do not want to purchase the professional edition just for this one return.

The File option in any version of TurboTax should offer the choice to file your state return by mail. See the instructions below for your specific version: How do I file my return by mail?

Be sure to check the box for File by Mail and look for "Print my state to file by mail."

These directions apply after you have already submitted your Federal return. Even though the heading may state E-file Federal Tax, still check the File by mail circle.
