Question

Turbo Tax Desktop for 2023 is telling me the Signature date on my 2023 return is incorrect. And I couldn't E-File

I'm filling out my 2023 return in Turbo tax Desktop version and signed it with today's date, which is 4/25/2025. I keep getting a message that states "Correct your signature date... your signature date must be on or after 1/1/2024 - 12/31/2024." How can I get it to accept the current date? can I do E-file now (just Federal not state tax) ?

    I would put 12/31/2024.

Prior-year returns must be paper-filed, as e-filing is no longer available for them. We'll walk you through that process when you get to the File section in the software.
