Just to clarify, is it stating that the refund amount does not match?

Please refer to your state tax return to ensure that you are entering the amount as shown on the return.

I'm receiving the exact same message and mines was accepted on the 28th of January and im has definitely putting the right amount anyone got any update yet ??

I’m currently experiencing the same problem and my state return has been accepted since 01/29 . I enter the exact amount stated on my return and it’s saying the information I entered doesn’t match their records. So I went ahead and tried my husbands info to see if it would be the same and it wasn’t his actually said the have received his refund and is currently reviewing it.

Mine is saying the exact same thing. It was accepted on 1/31 so I’m unsure as to why we are all getting this message. My husbands was accepted on 1/30 and he got a direct deposit date already

Just tried checking again.  It finally says they received it and it's being processed.  No further info available.

Calling the automated line is useless, and so are the representatives that can basically only read off the screen the same error. The return appears to be lost at this point.

Once you submit your return and the state receives it, TurboTax is not able to view or assist you with your return. For your convenience, please click here for more assistance with your state return. Please select your correct state from the list to proceed.

Same here with New York return. Filed and accepted on Feb 4 2022.

Still get the same status update message:  The information you have entered does not match our records.

Entered information is correct.

Per NYS, if the information you enter when you check your refund status does not match what's in our system, you may receive one of the messages below. To troubleshoot, follow the numbered steps provided.

  • The information you have supplied does not match our records. Please verify your Social Security number and the whole dollar amount of the refund requested as shown on your New York State tax form.

  • The information entered doesn’t match the amount on your New York State return. Are you entering the whole dollar amount only? For example, $223.45 would be entered as 2 2 3. Also, please make sure you are entering your New York State refund amount and not your Federal refund amount.

  • The information entered doesn’t match the amount on your New York State return. Before entering your information for the fourth time, please verify that you are entering the same information that was reported on your New York State return. If the information doesn’t match this time, you’ll be unable to use this service for 24 hours.

  • The information you have entered does not match our records. Please verify that you are entering the same information that was reported on your New York State tax return. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours before you access this service again.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Refer to the chart above to locate and review the refund requested line of the return you filed.
    1. If that line is blank, or you entered zero, you have not requested a refund and cannot use the Check your refund tool.
    2. If your tax preparer provided different information and you do not have a copy of the return they prepared, contact your preparer. They are required by law to give you a copy of the return they filed. See Consumer Bill of Rights Regarding Tax Preparers for more information.
  2. When you have confirmed the refund amount listed on the Refund amount requested line on your return, enter that amount in the Check your refund tool.

Note: Our representatives are not permitted to provide your refund amount, even after verifying your identity. You must refer to the return you filed or request a copy of your filed return by filing Form DTF-505Authorization for Release of Photocopies of Tax Returns and/or Tax Information. Allow 30 days to process your request for a copy.

Just tried it again.. enter the whole dollar amount  from line 78 on form IT-201 and it generated the same message:

"The information you have entered does not match our records. "

I'm almost certain this is an issue with NYS refund status tool.

Yes- it happened to me too.

Though I know my info is correct.

I need to talk with a human!

My Fed tax refund due was sent 10 days after accepted - but the state much bugger amount been much over 21 days! Like they estimated.

Does Turbo Tax Expert know what we can do?
