My mom's computer crashed and she can't print out her taxes. Why is it that if we do our taxes using Turbo Tax, we can't print them out on Turbotax.com? When I go to that website, it wants you to start new returns. There should be a way to obtain current filing status in a case such as this.

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

If your mother was using the CD/download software then the tax file is only saved on her own hard drive. It is not stored online and cannot be printed by going online. Only returns prepared using the online software are stored in an online account.
