TurboTax e-filed and both returns ACCEPTED. Why getting TurboTax email: "WE'VE FOUND A MISSING FIELD IN YOUR PROFILE"

My TurboTax app shows both of my 2024 Federal and State returns (e-filed April 12th)

were ACCEPTED and I'm finished with my taxes.

Now April 27, and TurboTax sent an email (from: TurboTax [at] em1 [dot] turbotax [dot] intuit [dot] com)

saying "We've found a missing field in your profile".

How could anything be missing after TurboTax approved both returns 2 weeks ago??

Thanks much, CatinaT1!

I suspect that the marketing/promotion team at Intuit/TurboTax doesn't have access to my personal TurboTax app details (which is probably for the best), so they send me random promotions regardless of my actual Tax Return status.

Too bad I have to open each email to decide whether it's about my actual personal tax returns, or whether they are simply marketing some additional TurboTax feature, even though it's still APRIL. 😒

For "peace of mind", I even went directly to the IRS site to lookup the status of my federal return, just to be safe. 👍

This could have been sent in error. You can confirm your efile status for peace of mind. Here's how you can check: How to Check your E-file Status
