My wife works in Illinois but we live in Iowa. They have a reciprocity agreement and as such, only pay taxes in Iowa. TurboTax required us to fill out, pay for, and send an Illinois tax return, despite the fact it wasn't required and won't get anything back from Illinois. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with TurboTax last week and they agreed and told me to fill out a refund request form on the website. I did. Twice. The form said I'd get an email confirmation. I never did. And I haven't heard back. I'd like my $40 tax back.

If you return to the refund request form, there are small blue words that say "Track Current Requests". You can track your requests to see if they have been submitted.

Please use this Help Article to access the form.
