TutboTax 2023 forgot about my W-2

I noticed that when I tried to enter Traditional IRA contribution and it said it exceeded earned income. I went to the W-2 section and it's not shown there anymore. What should I do now?

To clarify, you entered your W-2 but it isn't there anymore?

 

If the W-2 got accidentally deleted then reenter the W-2:

 

  1. Login to your TurboTax Account
  2. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “W-2” 
  3. Click on “Jump to W-2” 

 

To make an IRA contribution you need taxable compensation. Once you entered your W-2 you will show that you had enough taxable compensation to make the traditional IRA contribution. Therefore, the excess contribution warning will disappeared.
