You will need to change your child's status in the personal information section of your return. Follow the directions below to change your child's status. Log in and click take me to my return (unless already in). Click the My Info tab from the left-side menu. On the next screen, you will see your personal information listed. Click Edit beside your child's name. We adopted our son from foster care in February of 2020. The system keeps putting him as foster child even though I change it to adopted. how do I fix this?
