We had replaced our air-conditioning system with more efficient (over 20 SEER) for $10000. We received a latter from Mitsubishi Electric that we are eligible for tax credit.

In the Deductions & Credits section you can enter your information:

  1.  Open your return, if its not already open.
  2.  In the search tool in the top right corner, type in Energy Improvements
  3.  Select the "jump to link" in the search results.
  4. Towards the bottom of the Energy-Saving Home Improvements screen, select Yes. Once you get to the screen, just follow the instructions on the screen.
