Solved

What do I need to do? I filed a 2016 W2 on my 2017 tax return. My tax return was accepted and still says processing. I sent them over a month ago.

No need to worry.  This is the type of error the IRS often catches when processing a return and they may make the correction for you.  (Generally, you will get a letter explaining their changes.)

For this reason, you cannot file an amended return until after your return is processed and you have received your refund, if you are expecting one.

I have included instructions for how to Amend My Return if the IRS does not correct it for you.  You can amend a return any time after it is processed and refunded, but if you owe the IRS some money back, you should do it before April 17, 2018.  It will have to be mailed, as amended returns cannot be efiled.

So is it normal for my refund to take a little longer because of this?
