I filed form 4868 for extension of my tax refund, and got the message an hour later.
"Federal Extension application return was accepted."
Does this mean my filing was accepted or rejected?
For me, this is a little bit confusing.
It means the request for a filing extension was accepted by the IRS. So you now have until October 15, 2024 to file the 2023 tax return.
