Question

What should I do if I haven't received the 2020 Stimulus Check when I filed 2019's return in February and already received my refund?

I filed my 2019 return in February 2020. The return has been processed and I received my refund. I did not use the feature where TurboTax deducts their fees before sending me my refund. According to Get My Payment, it says my Payment Status Is Unavailable. I can't reach a live IRS agent and was advised to not use the Non-Filer tool. Should I still try or just wait? At this point, I'm not sure if I'll even receive a physical check.

The IRS portal says that your payment status is unavailable because the IRS has not processed your stimulus payment yet.

Please check back regularly and when your payment status becomes available, you will be given an opportunity to provide your banking information for a direct deposit of your stimulus payment (if you did not already provided this information on your 2019 tax return).
