When do I receive that my payment was received by IRS

I would like to know when the payment of the amount owed goes through. I am not able to see any of the information when I open my taxes, as the taxes were filed about a month ago. I just delayed payment. I scheduled it for today and there is still no withdrawal from my account.

The IRS cannot debit your bank account any earlier than you authorized when filing, but they can wait as long as they want after that date.

Presently, they are way behind in processing returns and issuing refunds because of ongoing changes in the tax code. It is reasonable to believe the same delays are occurring in payment processing.

Banks, too, can add to the delay in processing IRS payment requests. They won't post automatic payments or credits during the day - only after normal business hours and not on weekends.
