When I filed my return I accidentally put in an old bank account that I had which is closed now, I contacted my bank and they said that they already sent the refund back

If you inadvertently used an old bank account and the bank indeed sent the refund back to the IRS, the IRS will send you a paper check.
This is not uncommon. They will send it to the address on file.
