Your question cut off-------what exactly are you trying to do?

If you need copies of your W-2's you should be asking the employers who issued them to give you copies of them. The IRS will have a copy of a wage and income transcript that shows the wages reported to them by the employer, but they will not send you a copy of the actual W-2. The wage and income transcript will only show information for federal income---not state income.

If you filed a tax return then you can pay the IRS a fee to get a copy of the actual tax return that will include the W-2's:

To get copies of the W-2 forms themselves ( since the transcripts are trunicated and do not have state/local info on them) ... you request them from SSA for a fee:

If you don't need the state/local info then you can use the wage transripts you got and attach them to the mailed in returns as substitue W-2 forms. As noted the full name & EIN are not on the transcripts any longer so if you are trying to use a tax program to fill in the tax forms simply make up fake names/numbers/addresses to get rid of all the missing info errors they will generate. Since you are mailing in the forms with the transcripts the correct info in the program is immaterial.
