When is the returns being accepted? I was told it would be today.

    If you e-file today your return will just sit on a server until the IRS begins to accept returns on 1-27.

    That sounds like just the free filing options and Direct File on the IRS.  Turbo Tax lists Jan 29 for IRS to start accepting returns.
