This is normal. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly.

Taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit will experience a processing hold. The Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go app will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC/ACTC refund filers by February 22. EITC /ACTC filers will not see an update to their refund status for several days after Feb. 15.

The best way to get an accurate direct deposit date is to use the Where's My Refund tool on the IRS website.

To track your Federal refund, visit the Where’s My Federal Refund? site here: https://www.irs.gov/refunds. Updates are made daily, usually overnight. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status. You can track the status of your state return by following the directions in the following TurboTax FAQ.

You will need your social security number, filing status, and refund amount in order to track your refund.

Note: The IRS expects to issue most refunds in less than 21 days after being accepted.
