When will i get my refund through TurboTax

I've filed my taxes and paid the fee to intuit turbotax out of my federal refund. Once the refund is sent by the irs, when will turbo tax release it to my bank via direct deposit?

Please know that Turbo Tax is not responsible for releasing your funds. Turbo Tax simply submits your return to the IRS, who will either accept or reject it. However, if accepted, the IRS now has all the authority and decides when you will receive your refund, not Turbo Tax.

Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS.

It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find a record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund? tool for updates.

Thank you. However my question is regarding my choice to pay the turbo tax filing fee from my tax refund. Once turbo tax takes their fee, what is the average time for the balance to be deposited into my bank account?

It can take 1 to 5 days for your financial institution to deposit funds into your account.

If the status in Where’s My Refund? shows “Refund Sent”, the IRS has sent your tax refund to your financial institution for direct deposit. If you don't receive it in after 5 days then you should contact your financial institution.
