where do I apply my refund credit received for my 2023 return to my 2024 return

I elected to apply my federal refund from my 2023 to my 2024 return. How do I do that

If you used TurboTax last year then the system should already have applied the credit to your 2024 return.

If you did not then you can enter the carryover amount into the "Deductions and Credits" section of your federal return. Go to 'Deductions and Credits' and then scroll down to "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid." Click start next to "Other Income Taxes". The second section there will allow you to apply your 2023 refund to your 2024 taxes.

I helped Greatly!! In your response, I was unable to find anything under "Other Income Taxes”, but l looked under “Income Taxes Paid” and found the entry to "2023 Refund Applied to 2024” which then 100% solved my problem. Thank you again!
