Where on my tax return (Form 1040) do I look to make sure that the Expenses and Scholarship (Form 1098-T) was filed for 2014?

I am using the Turbo Tax online and I see that the line item for Expenses and Scholarship for 2014 tax is $0 where as my 2015 shows $8K.  We paid over $8K in 2014 too.

There are several places on your 1040 that education expenses could show up, it depends on who the expenses were for, how many years the person was a student and several other factors.   If you are looking at a 1040, Line 34 is the Tuition and Fees Deduction, Line 50 is Education Credits and Line 68 is the American Opportunity Credit.  You could have an amount on any of these lines.

If you do not see an amount on your 2014 that should be there, you can go back and amend your return for that year.
