Where’s my refund??

I filed February 27th, received my state tax return already a couple weeks ago. Now it’s been over a month, past the 21 day period and I haven’t received my Federal. I have no offsets or any reason to not have it. The irs.gov website to check the refund status stopped updating my information after the 21st day, so now how do I even check or where would my refund be??

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.

Sometimes as your federal return is moving through the steps of processing with the IRS the information becomes unavailable for a day or two.  Check it again soon.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
