Where's the screen where you can uncheck your State return to file later? I paid for the service, entered DL and bank info. Now it's on the Transmit screen.

Hi @mesquitebean ,

Yes I paid for Self-employed plus State filing already. The "Here Are Your Filing Options" page all the FAQ references I've found to address my problems aren't available to me as far as I can see. The latest legislation hasn't been updated at the State level yet, only Federal so I'm trying to file Federal only until those adjustments have been made on the Turbotax side. Under 'File' it allows me to confirm my ID, accept a Georgia disclosure, review my returns (both federal and state are listed) and then takes me to a Confirm Transmission page. Nowhere does it say "Here Are Your Filing Options."

Thanks much.

@tqhink When using the TurboTax online editions go to the File section and either start or revisit Step 3.  Follow these screenshots to change the filing status of your state tax return -

You can go back through the File section to make the change.

Do you have a screen shot of this specific page where it'll allow you to uncheck the state return? I've gone through the File tab over a dozen times. It doesn't show me a screen where I can uncheck the state return and file federal only. Under File, it confirms my identity, prompts me to accept a Georgia disclosure, and finally a Confirm Transmission page.

Thanks for your help.

"I paid for the service"

Does that mean you have paid for both the Federal and state return, but only want to file the Federal return right now?   I don't have a screen image and don't have any way to view the screens in that section in the Online version.  But see if this FAQ helps any.  If it doesn't, report back, and I'll ask another forum helper who may be able to provide a screen image or otherwise assist you to file Federal only and postpone the Georgia return.
